Greece Police Chief Michael Wood has filed a notice of claim against the town.
Wood was placed on administrative leave on May 22 after a state police report was filed that detailed the behavior of Wood’s former Deputy Chief Naser Zenelovic.
He was hired as chief in February 2022.
Court documents say Wood is suffering from economic and mental distress, claiming the town is forcing him out of his job because of his work ethic and refusal to tolerate misconduct.
Spectrum News 1 has reached out to town officials, who say they are awaiting the results of this investigation.
