New docuseries traces chef Gregory León’s journey from Venezuela to Milwaukee

James Beard-recognized chef Gregory León is sharing his personal story in a new documentary, “Humble Kitchen.”
The film follows León’s journey from his childhood in Venezuela to becoming the chef and owner of Amilinda in Milwaukee. Along the way, it explores the challenges, resilience and community that have defined both his life and career.
León joined WISN 12 News at 4 to discuss the inspiration behind the documentary, what he hopes viewers take away from it and why Milwaukee has become such an important part of his story.
