Not sure if it would be better or worse if it was fake cow blood.
Edit: actual question, is it nice?
The funny thing is that the worst stuff for your health in this candy bar is likely the sugar.
Made with *diabetic cow blood
vampire babies love this
I’d try
This is interesting, bt why is it a wtf?
It is not cattle blod in it. It is blood proteins – hemoglobin and albumin FROM cattle blood.

Modern hematogen is not made from cow blood. This technology has become obsolete decades ago.
It’s 95% combination of sugar, condensed milk and other sweeteners, blood is only 5% of the end product. That makes it sweet like hell (otherwise it would’ve been completely inedible) and the damage that comes from the amount of sugar overcomes any possible benefit for your anemia. It’s absolutely forbidden for people with diabetes.
Cow blood is indeed good for human health, but you should rather consume it the other way, like within the sausage or soup. Definitely not with this abomination of a snack.
“You see Ivan, I think we shouldn’t let Draculinov design those candys”
ΓΕΜΑΤΟ ΤΙ?
Not just hematogen, but _turbo_ hematogen.
Wait until people realize blood sausage is actually made with blood…
And is bloody delicious.
A blood candy though? Eh.
Hmm… 🦇🤔🦇
Hematogen sounds like a serious disease
Hematogen sounds like 50% medicine, 50% GMO.
It’s tasty and nutritious, but also diabetes in a bar. No way I’d let my kids eat it even though I grew up with this.
Mypoo
Ah yes, Hematogen, from *mypoo*
Tasty!
Fun fact: Gematogen was actually invented by a Swiss doctor, Dr. Adolf Hommel
The “mypoo” logo is also a dead giveaway that you shouldn’t eat it.
We in Italy had/have one too! (though it’s not a candy). It’s called “Sanguinaccio”, my parents used to have it when they were kids. Personally, I don’t recall ever trying it but for what they say about it, kids loved it.
Any russian speakers who can help me understand why it’s Hematogen if the first letter is a g? Should it not be Gematogen?
