Pinson pauses new data center proposals for one year
PINSON, Ala. —
Pinson city officials have enacted a one-year moratorium on new data center proposals, including hyper-scale projects, to review zoning ordinances and assess their potential impacts.
“Data centers aren’t new, but we want to take time to get ahead of the impacts these projects could have on Pinson,” city officials said.
Several cities have enacted similar ordinances, including Birmingham, Chelsea, and Homewood.
