Intrepid Travel, a global leader in responsible travel, has expanded its Premium range, launching three new trips in Costa Rica, Greenland, and Norway, alongside more than 50 new signature experiences across its Premium portfolio.
Led by Intrepid’s most experienced local leaders, Premium is the company’s most comfortable travel style, offering handpicked feature stays, exceptional included experiences, and enhanced service throughout the trip.

This launch comes amid growing demand for elevated, hassle-free travel. A recent study[1] of more than 8,000 travellers across the UK, Australia, the U.S., and Canada, commissioned by Intrepid, revealed that 71% of UK travellers place greater value on holidays where planning, logistics and other stressors are taken care of for them. Meanwhile, Intrepid’s Premium range grew 19% year-on-year in 2025, making it one of the company’s fastest-growing travel styles and reinforcing the appeal of seamless travel that features a high level of inclusions, while combining comfort, convenience, and meaningful local experiences.
Joanna Reeve, UK General Manager at Intrepid Travel said: “Our Premium style brings together our most experienced local leaders, handpicked feature stays, and carefully curated inclusions to provide travellers with exceptional and authentic experiences that leverage Intrepid’s extensive global networks.

“We’re seeing strong demand for the Premium range from our UK trade partners which is why we’re excited to bring them more options for their clients to explore the world with Intrepid… Like our Feature Stay at Tortuga Lodge – one of Costa Rica’s most celebrated eco-lodges, which sits along the river and immersed in that incredible rainforest. With these additions, we’re now offering over 100 Premium trips for UK travellers to enjoy premium small group travel across 62 countries.”
The new 8-day Premium Costa Rica: Tortuguero and the Caribbean Coast trip features a stay at Tortuga Lodge, one of Costa Rica’s most renowned rainforest eco-lodges. Clients will also visit a permaculture farm to harvest fresh ingredients before joining a local family for a traditional Afro-Caribbean cooking experience.

The 8-day Premium Greenland trip is Intrepid’s second land-based tour in the country. Travellers stay at a remote eco-lodge perched on rocky hillsides overlooking the sea near the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord, as well as enjoying a boat excursion to the enormous Eqi Glacier, where they’ll cruise past drifting icebergs and towering ice walls deep within the fjord.

Meanwhile, the 8-day Premium Norwegian Fjords trip features a stay in the charming sea houses of Knutholmen, a historic Nordic fishing village, with the opportunity to unwind in a floating sauna overlooking the bay.
Intrepid recently expanded its family offering by introducing a new Premium Family range, offering eight new trips across Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, India, Borneo, Vietnam, Morocco, Thailand, and Egypt designed particularly for families. Each trip in the range includes the features of the Premium range along with immersive, kid-friendly travel experiences.
From Basix to Original, Comfort, and Premium, Intrepid offers four travel styles designed to suit different budgets, comfort levels, and travel preferences. With these additions to the Premium range, Intrepid now offers over 100 Premium trips across six continents and 62 countries. The new itineraries are available to book now and will depart from May 2027.
