The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly advises against trips to Cuba,
including for tourism purposes, because of the crisis situation in the
country, BTA reports.
It
is recalled that the risk index for travelling to Cuba is at level 4 and
means a warning to stop travelling to
the country except in cases of extreme necessity.
The
reason is the deepening energy crisis in Cuba, the lack of fuel and
full-scale power outages, as well as problems
in
medical care, urban and intercity transport, the increased crime
factor and the lack of essential medicines, goods and services.
The
Foreign Ministry warns that the options for leaving the island are
increasingly limited and the number of international flights from
Havana and other Cuban cities has already been greatly reduced due to
the shortage of aviation fuel.
