ALLIANCE, OH — Poland put a bow on an absolute grind of a week by bringing home some hardware. After battling through 72 holes in just five days, the Bulldogs still had enough left in the tank to take care of business at the Joe Eaton Invitational at Tannenhauf Golf Club, firing a team score of 303 to claim the tournament crown.
That’s a whole lot of golf in a short window, but Poland never took its foot off the gas. Matthew Morrone paced the Bulldogs with a 74, while Ryan Lombardo was right on his heels with a 75. Angelo Rinaldi and Nicholas DiPasqua each carded a 77, giving Poland four scorers separated by just three strokes.
Parker Ogden rounded out the lineup with an 83. Four rounds in the 70s. A 303 on the card. Another trophy for the case. After 72 holes in five days, the Bulldogs didn’t limp to the finish line — they kicked the door down and walked out champs.
