Cloudflare (NYSE: NET) announced a new suite of AI and agentic products, including Cloudflare OS, Identity-Aware AI Gateway, and Cloudflare Wallets.

Cloudflare OS is presented as an open-source AI workspace designed to support developers building and running AI agents.

The Identity-Aware AI Gateway introduces detailed user and agent analytics to help enterprises monitor and control AI usage.

Cloudflare Wallets aim to support agentic payments and identity, extending Cloudflare’s reach into AI-driven financial transactions and app distribution.

Cloudflare is far from the only stock tied to the build out of AI infrastructure, so it is worth comparing this launch to the broader group of related companies in 55 AI infrastructure stocks.

Cloudflare’s agentic launch leans into its AI infrastructure Narrative

The core Cloudflare Narrative is that its global network and zero-trust security can become the default infrastructure layer for AI-heavy, internet-facing workloads. This launch of Cloudflare OS, Identity-Aware AI Gateway, and Cloudflare Wallets goes directly to that premise by trying to make agents, governance, and payments live on the same platform.

“Cloudflare’s early action building strategic positioning around the emerging Agentic Web and “Act 4” initiatives, leveraging its unique reach across 20% of the Internet and broad AI partnerships, offers significant optionality for new high-margin transaction-based business models…

This product set strengthens the bull side of that story. It ties AI agents, security controls, and transaction rails back into Cloudflare’s existing strengths in zero-trust and globally distributed infrastructure. For investors who already see Cloudflare as a long-term AI and security platform alongside players like Akamai or Zscaler, the launch is consistent with the idea of deeper cross-selling and higher value contracts rather than standalone tools.

It also speaks directly to analyst concerns about “uncertain new monetization” for Act 4. Wallets and agent-ready dashboards are explicit attempts to create transaction-based revenue options, not just usage of compute and bandwidth. However, the news does not yet resolve how quickly enterprises will pay for these capabilities at scale or how much of AI-related spend Cloudflare can capture versus hyperscalers such as AWS and Azure.

The open question is whether these agentic and governance products can translate Cloudflare’s AI positioning into durable, high-margin revenue that supports margin improvement targets while net losses remain significant. Until there is clearer evidence on customer uptake and spend concentration, that part of the Narrative is still an assumption rather than an outcome.

Every number here only means something against the Narrative you hold for the company.
