Yeah we all know that
Pedophiles are a perfect public enemy, same as terrorists. The perfect public enemy could be anyone, anywhere, and they commit crimes that are considered unholy, or crimes against nature if you will. The targets of these crimes are innocent ordinary people who have nothing to do with the underworld and no riches to attract jealousy. This means the perfect public enemy is capable of instilling massive fear responses and overreactions through simple news reports, which are easily fabricated or exaggerated. Using the perfect public enemy, you can get people who are successfully frightened to do almost anything, including giving up basic human rights.
The solution is not letting ourselves be ruled by emotion, which is easier said than done.
Let’s say this goes through and Signal gets banned, how are they going to prevent people from downloading it and connecting to their servers?
