The Federal Regulatory Commission approved Cheneire Energy to expand its Corpus Christi project with plans to export 18 million tons annually. Backed by Exxon Mobile, Golden Pass LNG, and Qatar Energy the massive project is slated for completion by the end of year. Golden Pass LNG’s first export took place this April in Sabine Pass- proved to be a good test run.
Cheniere is the parent company of Corpus Christi Liquefaction, LLC (CCL), the subsidiary responsible for operating and expanding Cheniere’s existing facility in Gregory, Texas that has been in operation since 2018.
CEO of Pecos Country Energy, RT Trevino, says Texas is the Saudi Arabia of liquid natural gas. “America alone just adds even more. Liquid natural gas can truly be the next main fuel source- globally. The more of our allies allow America to provide affordable energy we have is only going to hurt Russia’s economy and places like Iran and China’s economies as well.” He said.
Amid the conflict in Iran, the IRGC is using the Strait of Hormuz as leverage against the world. Another energy mecca in the Western Hemisphere- prevents these lawless regimes from their attempt to control the world’s economy.
“Make no doubt about this President sees energy and the economy being weapons and that’s a positive so we don’t have to put boots on the ground and put our men and women in harm’s way. If you have no money, there’s not a lot you can do- as far as causing a global or terrorist, hostile scenario.” Trevino said.
LNG Liquefying natural gas- or cooling it to below 260 degrees Fahrenheit- allows the resource to be transported where infrastructure does not exist and to international regions.
“This project is only going to add to more jobs and provide energy security for the rest of the world.”
Cheniere said that its expansion project is set to be completed by the end of the year.
