Illinois state fair

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP)— The Illinois State Fair is bringing rodeo events, tractor pulls, monster trucks and demolition derby action to the Arena during the 2026 fair.

Rodeo Nights, presented by Wooten Rodeo Co., will kick off the Arena lineup Aug. 13-14. The events will feature bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, team roping, steer wrestling and barrel racing.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

The Illinois Tractor Pulling Association will take over the Arena Aug. 17-19, featuring three nights of tractor-pulling competition. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

Monsters of Destruction will bring monster trucks to the Arena on Aug. 21. Advance tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children 12 and younger. Tickets purchased the day of the event are $30 for adults and $23 for children 12 and younger.

Monster truck rides will also be available during the pit pass party, intermission and after the show. Ride upgrades will be available the day of the event.

The Arena lineup will wrap up with the Illinois State Fair Demolition Derby on Aug. 22. Drivers will compete in a series of crashes and collisions, with the last driver remaining earning the title of Illinois State Fair Demolition Derby champion.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

Fair officials are encouraging visitors to purchase tickets in advance.

The 2026 Illinois State Fair runs Aug. 13-23 in Springfield.
