The Oscar winner arrived at the event in all-black attire, which included two of this summer’s most popular fashion trends: lace-trimmed shorts and ballerina flats. She opted for the MM6 Maison Margiela Anatomic Numeric Ballerinas in black, which retail for $620. The brand refers to the shoe style as “a perennial classic” and as the latest addition to the MM6’s Anatomic line.

The ballet flat is handcrafted in satin and detailed with a dainty front bow and the ever-present signature horizontal white stitch line embroidered on the back of the shoes. The shoes feature a cylindrical tonal heel, measuring one centimeter, a numeric signature elastic band across the top of the foot.

MM6 launched in 1997 as “Line 6,” becoming the sister label to Maison Margiela, and paid homage to the circled number 6 on each garment’s label. The line continues to carry out the minimalist aesthetic of founder Martin Margiela and offers essentials with unique fabric treatments, avant-garde shapes and a rule-bending approach to ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories.

Saldaña paired the shoes with a minimalist Brandon Maxwell The Dahlia Knit Bodysuit. The top showcases a U-shaped scoopneck and a sporty racerback silhouette. The piece includes fixed, stay-put straps and an inseam snap closure. The black bodysuit currently retails for $353 on the Saks Fifth Avenue website.

She completed the look with Vaquera lace-trim shorts in black. The shorts are crafted from structured cotton with intricate black lace trim detailing at the hem and strategic cutout panels throughout. They feature a high-waisted, knee-length design and distinctive, architectural pleating detailing down the front of the bottoms.

Lace trim has had a major moment this summer, and it also emerged as a fall 2026 ready-to-wear runway trend. Ballet flats were a go-to, dress down shoe style this summer as well, with FN naming them among the top 10 shoe trends of the season.
