Same thing happening with Aerlingus flights to AMS.
I wonder who Ryanair blame for this 😅
Once again alot of people moaning about what’s happening in Ireland fail to see the big picture.
Airports all over the world have been caught short with the recovery of air travel.
Fair fucks must go to Ryanair, they have been ready and waiting and have ranked back up brilliantly.
Schipols been horrible lately.
New Star Wars opening looks like shit…
Are Ryanair trying to get out of refunding you by blaming Schiphol Airport?
Sounds like Ryanair passing the buck yet again so they don’t have to refund you.
Schipol is fucked flew out of it in May wasn’t busy took 3 hours to get through
You know it’s bad when blame is being swapped around
This happened me on Wednesday evening. Thankfully I could rebook for a later time. Still pissed me off though!
Does O’Leary write up these communications himself. It reads as if it came directly from his mouth.
But but only in Dublin!!!
Why don’t people just holiday at home in Ireland…oh right yeah, nevermind.
Dick Benschop is an unfortunate name
I only saw an article this morning where Ryanair boasted about cancelling no flights, shitting on Aer Lingus 😂
Exact day we’re going…thankfully husband has already changed the flights.
The balls on them calling anything an “anti consumer action” hahahaha
My flight is 3 weeks away
Bit rich of Ryanair to complain about anti-consumer behaviour when they refused to refund passengers who had to cancel flights during covid
Our flight home from Amsterdam on July 21st was cancelled. Ryanair claimed it wasn’t an issue on their end, that it was Schipol airport that didn’t have enough staff hired for the summer months ://
Pretty sure you can get compensation if this affected your work etc from the airport. Defo get the refund from Ryanair but if you have committed say holiday days and its too late to rebook and go somewhere else pretty sure you can claim the value of the holiday days as being destroyed/un-redeemable from whoever cancelled everything in this case the airport authority
Can there be a more cunt company than RyanAir? That mail reads like a fucking toddler tantrum. Fuck RyanAir.
The industry is on its knees as a direct result of the chase to the bottom Ryanair mentality which has driven the workforce to look elsewhere.
As always finding staff is not an issue but finding cheap staff is a huge issue.
Schipol at the moment is probably the worst airport in the world and the worst experience anyone could go through in air travel.
I’m going to Spain with Ryanair later in July and shit like this is making me terrified. If my flight gets cancelled I might just Hijack it to Spain. Take a leaf out of Al quedas book lol
Wait, the 16th? Some Twitchcon attendees might be getting fucked over 😬
I don’t like Ryanair but I do like this email.
Fair play to them for the bluntness
I was in schipol on Saturday and it was fine. I flew KLM but the Aer Lingus flight at the same time was cancelled!
Breath of fresh air that message. Aer lingusssssss’s customer service was dog shit including an 1.5 hour on hold call to be hung up on.
Lol and what’s his home address and kids school @Ryanair?
We were due to fly out 30th july same thing got cancelled nearest flight we could get was 28th so we had to extend our holiday by 2 days and extra cost €470. Ryanair aint so cheap this year..
Throwing Schipol Airport under the bus lol
When this happens though do you get refunded automatically or do you have to go after them for it?
Twitch-Con starts that day in Amsterdam. I can only imagine the air traffic for something like that.
If they gave a FUCK they could fly you to the largest airport in Germany and run a bus to Amsterdam.
Flew Ryanair from Dublin on Wednesday. Ryanair hired back all their staff 3 months before the lock down ended to be prepared. Most of the Industry (including most airports) are only hiring now so they are 3 months behind Ryanair and will take some time to get back to full capacity
Not Amsterdam, but I’m in London due to fly home tomorrow at 3pm tomorrow. Fuckers at Aer Lingus texted me this morning to say the flight was cancelled and they rebooked me on a Sunday flight at 11pm.
I have no option to change this or anything. No accomodation ready or available. I spent 2 hours on hold trying to get through to them, basically wasting one of my holiday days trying to sort this. Never actually managed to speak to anyone. I messaged them on Twitter and got zero reply.
Just went ahead and spent 300 quid on a fucking flight back that gets me home around 11pm Saturday.
No idea if they’ll owe me a refund or compensation or anything – so if anyone can advise what to do when I get home about that. Seems trying to phone them is a lost cause.
Who the fuck are Ryanair to start throwing shade at people?
Ya I just changed the time of flight, I’m going to twitch-con there
So I’ve been reading about some of the horrible airport experiences in Europe lately and we are planning on flying into and out of Dublin in September. Is Dublin facing these same challenges?
Been through Schiphol 9 times over the last 8 years or so pre Covid and not once have I had a flight that was not delayed.
Since Ryanair are being so honest, I feel like they need to add an asterix at the bottom:
*every other time you’ve been late, cancelled, had to listen to our lottery ticket shite, been overcharged for a soggy yet still somehow burnt toastie, had your eyes burning because of our migraine inducing colour scheme or had the terrible misfortune of using our website to book a flight – THAT is entirely our fault;)
That looks like Ryanair was washing their hands of responsibility so you can’t get your ticket refund back.
