The Czech president collapsed just after the October elections and was in hospital for 46 days. His condition has not been fully disclosed, according to media sources he has severe liver damage caused by his alcoholism.
He was released today to the “home” care of a private nursing firm, against the hospital’s wishes.
The same day he was taken back to the hospital because he was diagnosed with covid. The president is fully vaccinated, including a booster.
His prolonged hospitalization is making it very difficult to form a new government, and the country is in the midst of a huge covid crisis.
