A Central Texas airport will soon be getting its first-ever international flight to the City of Love. Austin travelers will soon be able to fly directly to Paris for the first time.
Starting March 27, 2027, Delta passengers can begin boarding Austin’s first-ever nonstop service to Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG). This historic, new flight makes Delta the only U.S. airline to offer nonstop service from AUS to Europe.
“Austin’s growth continues to create new opportunities for customers, and Delta is proud to grow alongside it,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s Executive Vice President – Chief Commercial Officer in a release. “Launching Austin’s first nonstop service to Paris is a defining milestone, but it’s just one part of our broader investment in the region.”
Delta officials unveiled the announcement at a press conference at the Austin airport with local leaders including U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, Delta Air Lines President Peter Carter and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport CEO Ghizlane Badawi.
Delta’s Paris service will operate during the summer season, connecting Texans to one of Europe’s premier destinations. Customers can choose from four seat options on Delta’s flagship international airplane, Airbus A330-900neo: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main.
Delta, Air France and KLM will offer up to 10 weekly nonstop flights between Austin and Europe during peak summer months, with service to both Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam. From Paris, customers can connect further to destinations across Europe, India and Africa on Air France.
“Delta has been a catalyst in Austin’s emergence as a global destination, and its new nonstop service to Paris is the latest example of its commitment to connecting our city with the world,” said Austin Mayor Kirk Watson in a release. “Austin and Paris are united by a spirit of culture, creativity, and discovery, and this new route will bring our communities closer together while creating new opportunities for people to experience all that makes our city special.”
As the airline seeks to grow its Central Texas footprint, Delta is adding new and expanded services at AUS. By summer 2027, Delta will serve approximately 30 destinations from Austin and operate more than 70 peak-day departures.
In addition, Delta will launch a new daily nonstop flight between Austin and San Diego beginning April 12, 2027. The airline will also extend its popular Austin-Cancun service beyond the winter season and add another second daily flight to San Jose, California beginning April 12 after the service launches October 6.
