Immigration enforcement agents in the Los Angeles region will be barred from making certain warrantless arrests if a federal judge adopts her tentative ruling after a Thursday hearing.
Plaintiffs who sought a preliminary injunction prohibiting federal immigration agents from making arrests without warrants in the area without determining individuals are likely to flee, broadly agreed with Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong’s tentative ruling in their favor, but asked her to go further.
