My employees brought me back these great gifts from his homeland visit of Bulgaria. I wasn’t sure how the correct way would be to say thank you. I really would like to buy him a thank you card; and be able to write (in the language) at least a thank you! Or is there cultural?

Sorry employee not employees brought me back
I just want to know culturally is it okay if I write a thank you note?
*And I thought saying thank you to him in his own language would be nice…
As far as I am aware, there is nothing culturally special.
I think texting your employee a simple “Благодаря за почерпката!” which translates into Thank your for the treat! is sufficient.
Writing this in card sounds a bit too formal for me?
It’s quite common that people would bring sweets from their homeland when coming back.
Is your aim maintaining good colleagueal relationships or sth more?
Give him a 20% bump in salary and you might get a lukanka next time.
