Do the people of Europe never get sick of the French?
I’m sure that annoying people trying to get places is really going to get them on your side. It really worked for Insulate Britain.
I’ve got a fair bit of respect for French fishermen – they’re unrelenting bastards and take pride in that fact.
That’s why the UK should offer to pay them for their help in deterring the migrant boats. I have no doubt they’d do a stellar job of it, and anyone who was previously being a bit naughty with their transponder gets an alternate source of revenue.
They tried to block an harbor and got kicked quickly. Farmers (far more organised and with heavy tools) blocked the railroads and highways of some regions a couple of years ago. They were kicked in less than three days in most places. This headline is just for the buzz, the most probable outcome is that no disruption occur. If things are very very bad, perhaps a day or two of disruption. No more.
So how come the fisherman didn’t keep written logs?
Surely it’s important to have something like; where you fish, coordinates, type of fish, size of catch etc?
Illegal fishing is probably the only answer?
will probably prove to be more effective at border control against illegal immigrants escaping from france than the french police.
