A new round of talks has linked equipment deliveries with broader plans to rebuild Ukraine’s energy system and attract international investment.
Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Denys Shmyhal, held a phone conversation with Czech First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček. The main topic of the talks was further Ukrainian-Czech cooperation in the energy sector.
The officials also discussed Czech support in preparing Ukraine for the autumn-winter period. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported details of the conversation.

Czech Equipment and Joint Energy Projects
Denys Shmyhal noted that Ukraine has already received 35 shipments of energy equipment from six Czech donors. This assistance is important for restoring and maintaining the operation of Ukraine’s energy system.
Kyiv and Prague are also continuing to develop their partnership in several areas. These include nuclear and hydropower, the development of cogeneration, the oil and gas sector, and hydrogen energy.
Ukraine is interested in attracting Czech companies and investment for the modernization and reconstruction of its energy system, as well as in implementing new bilateral projects. During the conversation, Denys Shmyhal invited Karel Havlíček to visit Ukraine.
