A lot of companies will be set up now to pivot to home working.
It will be mostly essential workers like nurses who struggle.
At some point in the last few years the entire of society became disadvantageous to continue as is. Brexit proved we can harm ourselves for principles, even if those principles are only held by a few. The pandemic showed we can simply stop and not everything needs doing every day.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with not working. Working seems to be what is causing the problems. At the very least the owners of the companies offering work have better representation than us due to their donations. If them losing money means they can lobby less then even better.
A recession is happening or coming, won’t there be more job cuts and won’t asking for more salaries mean their friends and people they know may get the chop?
This guy as PM
1970s here we come. Stagflation driven by ever increasing wage demands and union leaders behaving like they have some sort of legitimacy to ruin other peoples’ livelihoods.
Mick Lynch is a thick arsehole playing totally into Johnson’s hands.
RMT are a mafia that extort money from the rest of us.
Makes me angry. These greedy cunts are getting paid very well and are just using there power to get more and it‘s the hard working people that rely on there services that are going to get hurt.
Inflation is hurting everyone but many don‘t have the option to strike, rail workers already get well paid jobs and good conditions compared to many.
At some point, network rail is going to have to cave to some of there demands, which means higher expenses and that means higher ticket prices for the rest of us.
These people striking are nothing but selfish cunts and I hate them all.
I bloody hope not because I’m going to egx in September at the Excel.oh it’s not the London underground or the dlr that’s going on strike but I don’t think holding the entire country to ransom is going to get support.
Woop. So I can’t make plans to travel for work not knowing when strikes will affect my journey and cause me to be stranded. Woo. I’m sure forcing people who can to drive is great for the environment.
Make it permanent and we have a deal. Strikes make it easier for me to argue that going into the office is dumb.
It seems like the government are turning a blind eye to the strikes, it’s obvious they are dead set on going ahead with the job cuts and restructuring of Network Rail, a few days of strikes every few months isn’t going to change that.
It baffles me that they don’t just pay the drivers better when they think of striking. They’re going to cave and pay them in 6 months, why not just save all the hassle?
I fully support these guys but if it’s going to be an ongoing thing it’ll put other peoples jobs at risk. I know my employer won’t be happy if getting to work 3 out of 5 days a week is a regular thing for a while. Hey, maybe if they paid me more I could afford a car or afford to move closer to work I guess.
Isn’t this worrying for the rail staff too? Receiving no pay for several months in this economic climate… it’s got to be a tough prospect
And?
This idea that rail workers owe the country more than our government owes us is ridiculous.
