This is a hefty enough ban considering the GAA has done fuck all in other instances of the exact same offence.

Seems just a tad on the short side, I would have gone with 9 months so that he’d miss the start of the league. No need to destroy a lad’s career over a single moment.
That being said, it’s a fairly hefty ban that will keep him out the club championship. It’s far lengthier than any of the other gouging bans and sends a good message that the GAA won’t let them away with it any more. Thank fuck Armagh have said they won’t appeal.
