Loyal customers overcharged for insurance renewals should start to see prices fall as new law kicks in

  1. I always thought that the “loyal customers” were subsidising those who were able to shop around.

My insurance has been cheaper every year for the last 12 years.

  2. All this will do is increase prices for those who shop around. Prices won’t drop because all companies will be forced to do it and there is zero incentive for them to drop any prices. Because their competitors aren’t.

If you can’t lose customers to cheaper alternatives, why would you reduce your price?

  3. Funny then that my house insurance people emailed me today with a quote that’s higher than last year when none of the details have changed and there have been no claims 🙄
