  3. In Romania we also use the Turkish *tarla.*

    The difference between *camp* and *tarla* is that *camp* can also mean meadow besides a crop field, like a wild field of grass and herbs, but *tarla* exclusively denotes an agricultural worked field. *Tarla* also carries a slightly negative impression, you can say about people that are over-worked like slaves on the *tarla* or about an obnoxious leader that behaves like a boss on the *tarla. Tarla =* crop field.

    *Camp* is obvious a Latin word given the fact that Romanian is a Romance language, however, *tarla* is Turkish during the Ottoman rule where they worked the peasantry.
