CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) –
Charleston Mayor Amy Goodwin declared a state of emergency in the city Monday. This comes after damaging flooding and severe weather swept through the city Sunday.
To help out those affected, the city also announced the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department’s Clinic Team will be giving free Hepatitis A and tetanus shots Tuesday.
The city said the health department will have two mobile clinics set up.
The first clinic will be setup on Garrison Avenue underneath the interstate bridge from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
The second clinic will be setup on Sugar Creek Drive at the former Charleston Fire Department location from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
City officials said anyone unable to go to one of the mobile clinics can go to KCHD’s location at 108 Lee St. E in Charleston.
