Really weird, SVT, swedish television, calls this “the wierdest day in swedish politics”
>Even though the Green Party pulled its support for her government, it said it is prepared to stand behind Andersson in a new vote to tap a prime minister.
So what’s going to change meanwhile?
Is this a world record?
Fastest resignation ever of a PM (voluntarily)
Speedrun, baby!
Got’em!
Women, am i right fellas , haha
I had honestly thought that a cabinet could not last shorter than Spain’s *lightning cabinet* that happened in 1849 (if memory serves me right).
Ramón María Narváez was dismissed as PM on a tuesday morning, Serafín María de Sotto was appointed on the afternoon, and by thursday morning Narváez was back in charge.
that reminds me of italian politics rather than scandinavian one. I bet even the italians managed to keep a PM for more than a couple of hours
Why did older posts with this news get deleted?
At least it lasted longer than the catalan independence
Lmfao is this a record for a parliamentary government collapsing?
Prime minister any% speedrun WR.
So is anyone going to update that Nordic PM picture? I think I have had longer lunch breaks
Well, her party lost the election three years ago, but has clinged to power since… perhaps they had forgotten they don’t actually have the majority in the parlament when they decided to replace the prime minister?
She just wanted the achievement. No point in further prime-ministering.
Still longer than Kamala Harris’ 85 minute stint as the first female US president last week, while Biden was unconscious for a routine colonoscopy.
And people say our governments are too short!
> Sweden’s third-largest party is rooted in a neo-Nazi movement.
Wtf? Any Swedes here to provide some context?
What the hell Sweden???
She’s also now the first female prime minister to resign.
“Sweden’s third-largest party is rooted in a neo-Nazi movement.”
That’s sad and frightening.
This is some “czeski film” levels of nonsense…
o_O……. wow congratulations/condolences…. I guess….
“What’s wrong Magdalena?”
“Nothing”
Idc about politics, but for me if a person resigns one time it looks bad. I somehow perceive that you’re supposed to resign only if you can’t deal with the situation.
So, Sweden still trying to be the special child in Europe? Jeez…
Everyone are super critical of the Centre Party, but I think in reality they are just a bit envious at the amount of policies the centre party is getting through.

Swede here, confused AF.
Remember when the Twitter account of Sweden [was given to a random citizen of Sweden every day](https://www.theverge.com/2018/9/5/17824338/sweden-twitter-account-citizens-takeover-swedish)? Yeah, they thought that they follow it up with a more prestigious position.
