Victor bakery, Greece Italian eatery to close; CAVA to open in Victor

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – After 36 years, Sweet Times Bakery in Victor will close by the end of this month.

In a statement shared to the businesses’ Facebook page, staff didn’t note a specific reason for the shutdown but indicated the need to ‘move on and say goodbye.’ Customers are encouraged to stop in before the bakery’s final day of service on August 28.

In Greece, casual Italian-American restaurant Cotoletta is closing after more than three years in business. The eatery was opened at Elm Ridge Center by the owner of Tony D’s in Rochester. A Facebook announcement didn’t specify the decision, but teased ahead at ‘exciting news’ coming soon. Cotoletta will close September 13.

Back in Ontario County, the Rochester-area’s first CAVA location is taking shape at Victor Crossing Plaza inside the former home of Pi Craft Pizza. The national chain has over 400 locations and is known for its Mediterranean and Greek-inspired food. An opening date has not yet been announced but is expected to take place sometime this year.
