T-Systems Switzerland has partnered with Cohesity to launch a sovereign backup and cyber resilience service aimed at Swiss businesses and public sector organisations.
The offering combines Cohesity’s cyber resilience platform with T-Systems Switzerland’s cloud and managed services capabilities, providing backup-as-a-service across cloud and on-premise environments.
Deployed and operated through Swiss data centres, the service is designed for organisations with requirements around data residency, regulatory control and compliance. It will be sold directly to T-Systems Switzerland customers.
Customers can run the platform entirely on T-Systems’ cloud infrastructure without having to procure or operate their own backup hardware, while organisations with existing infrastructure can also deploy it within on-premise environments.
“There is a particular added value in the operating model of the solution,” said Iwan Martin, head of Portfolio Unit Cloud at T-Systems Switzerland. “Companies can use the services both in existing on-premise environments and as a cloud-native solution.”
Alongside backup and recovery, the service incorporates Cohesity capabilities including AI-powered anomaly detection, threat scanning and automated data classification, intended to help organisations identify cyber threats and establish clean recovery points following an attack.

The launch comes as data sovereignty and resilience become increasingly important considerations for European organisations seeking greater control over where critical information is stored, managed and recovered.
