Watchdog considering review into Boris Johnson’s 40 ‘new hospitals’ pledge | Evening Standard

  1. Election fodder for idiots who believe anything he says.

Watchdog can save time and just announce that yep, he lied again.

  2. It won’t matter what the outcome of their investigation is. Nothing will change. We’ll still have to suffer two more years and even then, unless Labour can pull themselves together, they’ll win the next GE and the country will suffer more. By-election results don’t mean a thing. If Labour and the Lib Dems can agree in advance of the next GE what a coalition would look like between them then there is hope. If Labour win by a slim majority, and would have won more by PR, then they might propose a change from FPTP, otherwise that won’t change either.

  3. I saw BoJo a few days ago claiming that they would build a new nuclear power station every year.
This is an absolute technological impossibility. There is no feasible way to undertake such a program. There is literally nothing about the claim which will standup to even the flimsiest of scrutiny.

    But voters still believe him.

  4. They’ll find out he lied, his team will get him to say some random shit to throw off the SEO, and he’ll face absolutely no real repercussions. It’s exactly the same cycle, rinsed and repeated every time.

  5. Why are they looking at this now? He’s parroted it for years and the substance that it was bollocks was well known.

  6. Now is not the time to be analysing General Election pledges. The time for that is before you vote in the General Election.

  7. You mean where they build new buildings on already established hospital grounds and call ot a new hospital? Because that’s what they’re doing at my hospital.
