Every time that plan is mentioned, it sounds as bad or worse than the various insane shit that comes out of America’s mouth on the regular
“Outrageous Cover Up” is the title of this Government.
This is not a matter of national security, such plans & costs should therefore be public and open to scrutiny.
We’re paying for them, we should know how much and where the money is going. Failure to disclose should, in and of itself, be an offense.
Just corruption at play. Could use that money to pay people in the UK to train refugees and have them become productive members of society. Investments that have been shown through studies to be effective. Instead we spend that money 100% outside the country. This is the value for money government, indeed. Main issue when all you care about is how much is spent, not the how.
What’s more relevant is how much taxpayer cash has been diverted into the pockets of Tory chums and donors as part of this scheme.
The Tories don’t do anything unless one of their own gets rich out of it.
Privatisations, track and trace, PPP, PFI etc – all Tory designed wheezes for making cash l.
Hold up we’ve already given Rwanda £120 million and that’s the bit we *know about*??? Jeez…
Copy of an answer to a previous post that seems relevant to this…
**Any ridiculous expensive illogical unworkable idea usually means there is a ridiculous massive private contract that will make someone millions
. The unworkability of it prolongs the squeezing the cash out of the taxpayer**.
**See the Covid Pandemic fraud issues and Billions spent on track and trace**.
We had companies that specialised in making PPE over decades not being called up and then **Billions in contracts** given to companies with no experience at all that suddenly appeared out of nowhere!
**The illogic of spending hundreds of thousands of pounds sending one person to another country entirely when you could have spent that money on extra staff at home to speed up the process and also made the applicant enter the job market so they can pay taxes, rehabilitate themselves and contribute to society.**
I’m not even talking about the immorality of it all and our obligations in the international community.
Its insane.
This whole plan is an absolute fever dream. And when you actually explain what this plan is in plain English, every. Single. Word, makes the acid trip that is this policy even more insane.
TBF they did save some money by getting free advertising over the last few years from Arsenal FC.
You know what they say. If you have to ask the price, you can’t afford it.
Let’s just not fucking do it.
I don’t know why they chartered an aircraft for 500,000 when we have over 200 military transports parked all over the place? Are they trying to look stupid?
