Voting Booths set up in rows on Election Day

Justin Levitt, professor at LMU Loyola Law School, commented on the Trump administration’s claim that 24,000 noncitizens illegally voted in the 2020 presidential election, according to a new Census Bureau report. Levitt said a typical analysis would include caveats around the possible margin of error, which the new report doesn’t specify. “In most statistical exercises, it’s not unthinkable that there might be 0.019% false positives – and if that were the case here, that would turn the total conclusions to zero.”
