Johann was the son of a Peasant from Waltersdorf, Germany. Johann was an Infantryman of the 16th Reserve Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion, 9th Company. He was a recipient of the Iron Cross 2nd class. On July 16th 1917 at about 2 o’clock in the afternoon after 3 years of “loyal fulfillment of duty” Johann was killed in action by an explosion from an artillery shell on a battlefield in Northern France. He was 29 years old at the time.
RIP Johann
Johan was a real one.
Survived three years of that hell only to be blown up anyway.
*16th July 1917
Is it too much to ask for dates to be written in a sensible order?
Disgusting his life was thrown away over a patch of dirt by rich old men across Europe having a dick waving contest
