Police are investigating the unexplained death of a man found unresponsive at a property in the Far North district.

Emergency services were called to a house in Haruru Falls, near Paihia, shortly before 4.30am. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, police said.

Northland District crime
manager, Detective Rhys Johnston, said in a statement: “His death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem examination will take place tomorrow.”
