7% over 2 years so about half the rate of inflation (or less?), I don’t blame them for not putting it to the ballot.
While I’d benefit from this deal if it ever goes through, would the govt not be better cutting as much tax off fuel as possible (I know hands are tied with EU law too). Doing that would lower the cost of literally everything as transport would be lower and then in turn, people have more in their pocket that goes into restaurants, cinemas, pubs which in turn goes back into the country and keeps people in their jobs long term etc? Is that too simplistic a view?
what 2% promised? i thought it was 1% in october.
Quality of living outside the leafy areas has gone to shit. Management inflating their wages by creating room in the budget for their payrises. They create room in the budget by having everybody on a lower grade than them costing less and less as prices rise and rise.
Pay should be tied to inflation.
Go easy on them, the government members are all very busy planning their long holidays.
I think they’ll all be getting something like 10 weeks holiday.
