There was a news piece about this a few weeks ago, an escort agency (or whatever you call them now) here was actually advertising that they had Ukrainian girls fresh from being traumatised by the war, so that you could indulge your fantasies of being a rapey Russian soldier.
I’m not naive to think this wouldn’t be an unfortunate result of displaced refugees – But This is horrific and sickening.
What can be done to tackle this fucked up shit? And what is being done here ?
( I hate trying to even word this because these creeps are just re traumatising already vulnerable women and girls who are in desperate need for financial security for shelter,safety, warmth etc)And psychological support also.
So if there was an average search of 2 per month it’s gone all the way up to 5!
Two things that are unclear in the article –
What are the actual search numbers? A 250% increase is very alarming if there are 10,000 searches a week before this but if there were only 10 it is less so
Could some of the search increases have been brought on by the press commentary about the issue? I.e. People searching out of curiosity after hearing a news report about it rather than someone looking to get an escort
It’s horrendous that there are so many men who see that there’s a war causing displacement of people and think, *this is my chance*!
Just out of curiosity, how does an outsider to a website get the metrics to search trends? Like without being involved in the website how do you get the 250% increase conclusion?
Prior to the war, in Ukraine prostition was largely ignore,hardly surprised there’s an an increase.
The only concern id have have is if there’s woman who feel like they e no other choice.
Its actually disgusting that some men are low enough to search for something like that.
