After Barbour posted about the damage on social media, other residents told him they’d also been victims of suspected BB attacks, with one filming a confrontation with a man wearing a gold-coloured mask after going to investigate, Stuff reported.
There were “simple steps” residents could take to help protect their property, police said.
This included reviewing home security and CCTV systems and reporting suspicious behaviour immediately by calling 111 if it is happening now, or 105 if it is after the fact, rather than using social media.
Residents should also encourage neighbours to remain vigilant and report what they see, police said.

Anyone who’d suffered similar damage, witnessed suspicious activity, or had CCTV, dashcam footage, or other relevant information, should contact police via 105, either online or by phone, they said.
They should also quote the number 260628/7047 when contacting police.
