  1. They’re expensive because they’re imports, it’s also very good fucking marketing

Young people actually buy this shit for some reason just because ”iT’S aMerIcAn”

There are finnish chips that are far more better than any american ones and I will physically fight you for it.

  2. Everything imported will cost a lot (if we won’t count Coca Cola Company imports) and if there is chili in them, the price will be even higher. I don’t know why, but my quess is popularity.

  3. K-Market is rip off in general – I am in Finland since ~1 year and can’t believe that people still go there

  4. with the name Takis, i wouldn’t have thought that it was a US product (which i assume from the comments so far)

strange that as time goes on (over 15 years) less and less of what people miss from ‘back home’ registers in my mind at all.

like, i had someone fly out a month ago, and i didn’t even ask they bring anything. in retrospect, the grape jelly would have been nice… but that’s the only thing that ever sometimes crosses my mind. (i do peanut butter and jelly with a mixed blueberry-rasberry jam that’s… not great but okay. although by now i might no longer like the taste of the US stuff. i mean, i never eat anything with corn syrup… rarely eat corn anything…)

  5. If you are in Helsinki, you can try the Mexican store Dos Tecolotes, it might be cheaper. I think they’re 4€ or so. Takis is originally a Mexican snack.

  6. Bought these from Citymarket @ Turtola, Tampere few weeks ago, price was around 6€ but these did taste absolutely horrible…

  7. I found these really small bags (28g) once at a discount store (Sopuraha, if anyone wants to check): both flaming hot cheetos and takis fuego, 1€/bag. I bought 10 of each. I might have a problem.

  8. Yeah, they’re delicious, but they’re definitely not worth that. The bag that size costs about $3.50 in a suburb of Philadelphia and around $4.60 to $5.00 in Honolulu.

    And they’re addictive as hell

  9. You say its American, yet I’ve never seen them in the USA. Most “American” taste different in USA than in Finland. Coming yo visit cousins this fall, maybe I can find some here as gifts. I bring back blue Frazer, ALWAYS a winner. Wife gets salmiakki

  10. Interesting seeing Takis in Finland, especially the fuego (fire) flavor. These are awesome with a cold beer(s). In Mexico most of our food has some type of spicy flavor, it surprises that the Finnish palate would like the taste.

  11. I’ve had such bad experiences already with takis brought from the US, they don’t have the takis seasoning, just normal taco seasoning, they’re not spicy at all and it’s a waste of 10e. I only buy the ones brought from Mexico.

Edit: yes, I meant takis fuego.

  12. They are not that good lol we have them here in Canada and they are pretty mediocre. Juustonaksut on parempia lol
