  1. “The move would not stop new customers getting discounts, but would ensure the market was fairer, the Central Bank said.”

Im struggling to see how different this is to how it is currently. Maybe the renewal price for customer A who already has a policy will be the same as customer B who is a new customer but customer B will get an additional discount on the base quote….this would be essentially the same as it is now but with the saving being harder to spot?

  2. Is this going to be like the female driver thing where everyone just paid more.

If insurance is a legal requirement then their should be a public option

  3. My house insurance is up for renewal tomorrow…Does this mean I should do it today instead and see if I get a better deal …or?

  4. They could just have set rates they all have to adhere to so it doesn’t matter which company front you go with. This is more like a charitable concession to allow them to continue operating as cartel of rip off merchants.

Have the insurance companies just realized they can make more by rewarding loyalty?
