If you’re German with a German passport but live in the US as a permanent resident and got vaccinated here, do you need the COVID app for travel in Europe or is the CDC document enough? Do they even accept it for the app?
I tried looking online but I can’t find anything for my specific situation and I’m not 100% if required…

Right now the common understanding is that COVID is „over“ and no one cares about the vaccination certificate.
The CDC document should be accepted, and I heard that you can even get the EU digital certificate in a pharmacy (Apotheke) if you show your CDC one.
Why wouldn’t you get it to cover your bases
