North Korea plans to send over 100 athletes to compete in next month’s Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, the largest sporting delegation the country has ever sent to Japan.
In an interview published Tuesday by Choson Sinbo, the official newspaper of the pro-DPRK General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), DPRK Olympic Committee Secretary-General Ko Chol Ho said the delegation will compete in 14 sports at the quadrennial event, including soccer, weightlifting, boxing and wrestling.
