Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is throwing a fit over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s upcoming return to the U.K., a source tells Examiner.
“The fact that he’s been punished and banished while the red carpet is being rolled out for these treacherous snakes has left him feeling very hard done by,” reveals the source.
After stepping down as senior working members of the royal family in 2020, Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, opened up about their experiences in a now-infamous TV interview, a hit Netflix docuseries and, in the Duke of Sussex’s case, a best-selling memoir.
Andrew, 66, “doesn’t understand how they can be forgiven for saying these terrible things about the family so publicly,” the source continues. “And yet here he is, excluded and blocked when he’s never once set out to harm the family the way they’ve done.”
Andrew was stripped of his royal titles and honors last year amid renewed public scrutiny over his close ties to Jeffrey Epstein and arrested in late February after the Thames Valley Police launched an inquiry into whether he shared confidential information with the financier, 66, while working as British trade envoy.
The former Duke of York, who has consistently denied wrongdoing and maintained his innocence, was released on the same day and has not been charged.
“He accepts that he made mistakes in terms of his choice of his friendships,” says the source. “But he doesn’t feel it’s fair that he’s banished for the rest of his life while these two get to waltz back in.”
