Hello! I’ve created a community for the Slavic diaspora living in Quebec, Canada (myself being a Canadian-born Pole). This is a casual, non-profit community for all, but not limited to, Slavic students (18+) living in the region of Greater Montreal. Started and ran by a single person. A place to hangout, for those who want to either learn more about Slavic languages and culture or merely speak their Slavic tongue while having fun! If you’re seeking to meet with people of similar cultural backgrounds, look no further! This community has exactly been created for that! Sometimes it can be quite tough living in a foreign country as an immigrant. From identity crises in regards to not being able to adapt or fully integrate in a given society; to not having people you can relate to as much as you would’ve liked to. Making yourself feel kind of isolated. Even more so because of the pandemic. Thus, if you’re someone who would like to connect with similar people and share your thoughts, feelings about a certain situation that others might not completely get, you’ll be feeling at home here! What to expect from this community? Language exchanges, meetups and more! 🙂
