Lazard has appointed Dr. Marco Superina to lead investment banking in Switzerland as the financial advisory firm expands its presence across the DACH region.
Superina will be based in Zurich and join the DACH management team led by Marcus Schenck, Head of Financial Advisory for the region.
He will advise Swiss and international corporations, entrepreneurs and financial sponsors on mergers and acquisitions, capital solutions and other strategic matters.
Superina joins Lazard from UBS, where he served as Head of Global Banking Switzerland and oversaw investment banking and corporate coverage activities in the country.
He previously held several leadership positions at Credit Suisse after beginning his career at Credit Suisse First Boston in 1997.
Those roles included Head of M&A Switzerland, Head of M&A Northern Europe and Head of Healthcare M&A for Europe.
The appointment forms part of Lazard 2030, the firm’s long-term strategy to accelerate growth across Europe and its global Financial Advisory franchise.
