Alongside the hotly anticipated F-91FW series and resin-strap G-Steel models, Casio has brought its latest “Master of G” collection to Europe, consisting of three new watches: a Mudmaster, a Mudman, and a Gravitymaster. The trio was first announced in Japan earlier in August, and while a global launch became all but confirmed when the company listed the three models on its international website, it’s only now that Casio is expanding their availability to Western markets.
The G-Shock Mudmaster GG-B100XMH-5A, Mudman GW-9500MH-5, and Gravitymaster GR-B300H-5A are now officially listed on Casio’s websites across Europe, although the UK is only getting the GG-B100XMH-5A for now. All three share the collection’s light yellow gold ion-plated bezel, brown accents, and dark brown resin band.
Mudmaster
The GG-B100XMH-5A is the heavyweight of the bunch, both in price and actual heft. It tips the scales at 104g and pairs a stainless-steel bezel with a carbon fiber-reinforced resin case and Carbon Core Guard structure. It’s also built to shrug off mud, dust, and shocks, with 200-meter water resistance for good measure.
Underneath that rugged build is a surprisingly capable outdoor toolkit, which includes a digital compass, altimeter, barometer, thermometer, and step counter. You also get Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity via the Casio Watches app, which adds automatic time adjustment and a neat Mission Log feature.
At 88g, the Mudman GW-9500MH-5 is a little lighter but no less serious about the outdoors. It boasts a mud, dust, and shock-resistant construction and 200-meter water resistance. Casio’s Triple Sensor suite is also onboard, giving you direct access to compass, altitude, barometric pressure, and temperature readings right on your wrist. Unlike the Mudmaster, there’s no Bluetooth or smartphone connectivity here, but you do get radio-controlled Multi Band 6 timekeeping and Tough Solar power. The duplex LCD looks like it was lifted straight from a digital Pro Trek, and it should make it much easier to check information at a glance outdoors.
Finally, we have the aviation-inspired Gravitymaster GR-B300H-5A, and it’s the lightest of the three at 71g. Casio says the carbon-reinforced case and Carbon Core Guard construction are paired with a seamless bezel inspired by next-generation aircraft. There’s Bluetooth, Tough Solar charging, dual-time functionality, and flight logging, while a rotary disc at 9 o’clock doubles as a status indicator, stopwatch display, and battery indicator.
