It’s kind of obvious to me. We have another vote on COVID legislation on Sunday. Before that vote is through, the feds won’t take any action because that would influence the result. Considering the situation on the ground, I’d expect new measures to be announced next Wednesday.
This whole story has become a question of political timing.
Good, Covid is endemic and it is time to accept the level of risk and move on. No more lockdowns.
