As a foreigner in Norway, I would like Norwegians (and westerns in general) to hold their minorities up to the same moral standards they hold themselves.
That’s not only fair but it’s what those of us who really try to integrate actually want. If our cultures back home were so perfect we wouldn’t be here in the first place.
And for those who naively call that racism let me remind you that cultures are not race, they can shift and they should always evolve.
Edit: Before my comment gets kidnapped by closeted racist, I am not advocating for kicking out people that look ‘intolerant’ or foreign cultures to become Norwegian in order to be good. But rather that we can start demanding everyone to abide by the universal values we all agree on, like freedom of being oneself and tolerance.
In other words, let’s scrutinize everybody’s actions and beliefs regardless where they come from, and let’s scrutinize especially religions that protect themselves behind the “freedom of religion” excuse.
That has zero to do with being a ‘white male’, not having balls or any crap like that. Toxic masculinity is also part of the bullshit we need to get rid of.

I’m transgender and 100% of the abuse I’ve received since I’ve moved to Norway has been from non ethnic Norwegians. I’m not saying all immigrants are like this because clearly they’re not. But having immigrants with roots in homophobic countries and religions clearly brings these kind of issues. I just hope something is actually done to acknowledge and address this
