Bulgarian secret services: Russia pays public figures to spread propaganda

  1. You know, there’s a very interesting, disturbing, and as-yet-unknown story in there, and in how Putin’s bots have influenced the Brexit vote amongst other things. Time will tell, I guess.

(Putin certainly won’t tell: I don’t think an honest word ever comes out of that guy’s mouth.)

  2. 4000 BNG or 2000 USA a month flat rate are being pay to public figures, journalists, politicians etc. Well set propaganda network. It has been working in years.

  3. Someone above mentioned Brexit, a few have mentioned European countries in general, and I’ll throw USA on the list. Weird how so many of our countries have turned self loathing, extremist, populist, etc., in the last couple of decades. Nationalism taken to an extreme is obviously bad; anti nationalism is, too. It’s ok to be proud of ourselves, and it’s become normal to just hate on our own cultures and countries. Maybe some of that’s organic, but I think that swing has had a very big push.
