World No 2 Luke Humphries will face World Matchplay semi-finalist Dirk van Duijvenbode in the second round of the Hungarian Darts Trophy.

Humphries has not played on the European Tour since his triumph at the 2026 Belgian Darts Open in March and is in great form after winning the latest Players Championship event on Wednesday in Leicester.

Beau Greaves made history in the first round on Friday as she became the first woman to compete in a European Tour event. She impressed against Rob Cross, taking the 2018 world champion to a deciding leg before losing out 6-5.

Gian van Veen will play qualifier Nandor Major, while Michael van Gerwen begins his bid for a second Hungarian Darts Trophy crown against James Hurrell.

Fourth seed Jonny Clayton enters the fray against Hungary’s own Laszlo Kadar, who stunned Daryl Gurney 6-5 on Friday night, while last year’s champion Niko Springer faces Maik Kuivenhoven of the Netherlands.
