TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Wakulla High War Eagles defeated the Taylor County Bulldogs 25-19.
The game had a rocky start as Wakulla got five penalties on their first possession. Taylor County recovered a snap for the game’s first touchdown.
Wakulla countered with a touchdown of its own, tying the game 6-6 in the first quarter.
The back and forth continued Friday night as Taylor County led Wakulla 19-15 at the half.
Wakulla put the pressure on late in the game with a field goal, bringing the score to 25-19 War Eagles with just over six minutes to go.
Despite a number of penalties, Wakulla’s defense came through and helped bring them the victory.
