The Italians from Sant’Agata Bolognese took California by storm with a bunch of novelties befitting Lamborghini’s exotic image. They had to celebrate 60 years of the Miura in style and debuted the special edition Revuelto Miura 60° Homage created in conjunction by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization program and Centro Stile.
They also brought the Urus SE for its North American premiere – believe it or not, but the latest version wasn’t offered here just yet, despite Lamborghini already showcasing the Urus SE Performante not long ago. There was also the fresh Lamborghini Temerario Tricolore that followed in the footsteps of the eponymous Gallardo, though it’s a bespoke creation at the moment.
Of course, the most important reveal from Lamborghini at Monterey Car Week 2026 came in the form of the Revuelto SV, the track-focused version of its V12 plug-in hybrid flagship fitted with goodies that can help it deliver even faster lap times. Some people liked the commotion around Lamborghini but also thought it was a bit tamer than before.
For those folks, no worries, there’s a solution – albeit it’s coming from a member of the imaginative guild of digital car content creators dwelling across the parallel universes of vehicular CGI. More precisely, Ali, the virtual artist better known as ‘luddite_revival‘ on social media, has come up with an interesting way to honor Lamborghini: an unofficial, hypothetical design project of a 2+2 Lamborghini grand tourer.
His vision is a bit sleeker at the front compared to the Revuelto and Temerario or even the Urus SE, but the edginess comes through until the end of the car via the rear-fender fins and the funky Y-style LED taillights plus the positioning of the dual exhaust setup. This vehicle could easily get dubbed as a Shooting Brake if not for the extremely low height, by the way.
As for the reasoning around it, we can only think of one use case scenario since there’s also a Lamborghini Urus SE with more than two seats: this 2+2 Lamborghini GT could arrive on the market in low numbers to directly fight the Swedish menace: the limited production four-seat plug-in hybrid grand tourer called Koenigsegg Gemera.
There’s no similarity in terms of design except for a major detail: just like the Gemera, this Lambo concept has two doors – albeit they’re a few orders of magnitude larger than those used for regular sports cars, hence the potential rivalry. Alas, this one is merely wishful thinking, so the Swedes are safe, at least for now.
