Despite the reduction in the overall workload, the bureau’s expenses increased. In 2025, 2.48 million euros were spent on conducting forensic examinations — 238,640 euros, or 10.7%, more than in 2024.
Labor costs increased by 28,279 euros, or 1.7%, while expenditures on goods and services rose by 160,879 euros, or 29.2%.
The increase in expenses is also related to the work of VTEB in the new laboratory building created to support the activities of the unified forensic examination institution.
